Hey, does anyone know if it's possible to put a 16" Vulcan Custom wheel/tire combo on a Vulcan 800 Classic, which comes with a 21" ? I wanna try for a different "look" on my Bobber/Chopper project -- I'm talking a direct "bolt-on" type mod, without a whole lotta drama ?
Thanks in Advance, Tony C. Alaska,USA |

Youve got it backwards. The 800 A (custom) has a 21" narrow front tire, and the Classic (B) has 16" fat tire. I have heard they are interchangeable with some mods, Brake have slightly different placement. I dont beleive they are directly bolt-on.

Hey thanks for the info... and yes, I did have it backwards - I guess? There's a 16" wheel on ebay right now, and I was just thinking about trying the "big" front wheel look on my 800 A - I'm sure the forks are wide enough, just was hoping the wheel would just bolt right on... Thanks again for the responce Tony |

Thought about that myself. Would be different anyway.
Actually I was wanting to put a wide-glide front end on it maybe. Seen it done before but forget where.

Tely, to do this I'd be getting another wheel off e-bay -- a 16" CLassic wheel -- they turn up all the time for 100-150 bucks. I will probably need to play with the spacing, or as Ruh Roh said, the brake caliper mount, to make it work. I'll keep you all posted, with pictures and any info to "get'er done" -- give me a few weeks! Tony Last edited by Bad Dad 1 : 1 Day Ago at 01:47 PM. Reason: error |
