Default Mule 4010 Diesel Rear Drive Shaft Guards???

I was looking at getting the factory rear drive shaft guards for my 4010 Diesel, but saw they say they only fit the gas mule. Any one ever try to put them on a Diesel?? I am not afraid to do a little cutting or grinding on them to make them fit. Even cut down to fit, a little protection is better than no protection! I figure it must be a clearance thing. Thanks for any help!!!

The transaxle, frame, and rear drive shafts are the same for both the gas and diesel versions. The gas unit should fit just fine.
If toys will get me in the door when it is time to go, I have it made!

    Thanks RCW,
That is what I thought. But Kawasaki has a note on there web sight that they do not fit the diesel. Go figure?

Just to let any one know that may want to put the rear guards on a diesel mule. They bolt right on just fine. But you need to cut about 2in off at an angle on the end-top of them. Or they will hit the transmission on the RH side, and hit the belt housing on the LH side when the suspension compresses. The diesel engine and transmission is much wider than the gas. Just make shure you take off enough. A little bit of a pain but well worth it for the added protection.
