Default Carb, CDI, Regulator Problem on Bayou 300?

2001 Bayou 300 ran great and then these things happened. Started hearing louding ticking coming from the front, but still ran fine. Battery was replaced because old one died. Then all off a sudden it bogs under heavy throttle making a loud noise through the carb/ airbox. Starts and idles fine but will function under heavy throttle. I took the carb off and cleaned it, I don't think that was the problem. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Hey i may know what your problem is. Do you ever adjust your cam chain slack? if not there is a good chance you may have jumped your timing chain a knoch, your bike's timng may now be slightly retarted(that is a technical term) in that case it will idle fine but will pop out the carb when excellerated.

The other thing may be you regulator/rectifier they can make some noise if they explode, this can also cook your battery and if the plug in is fried on the regulator the cdi might not be getting the proper voltage resulting in a weak spark not capable of sustaining more than an idle

hope this helps
