I have a 250 bayou How do I pull the starter cluch so I can get to the springs and pins that make it all work? This is a 2003 Bayou, if there is a puller that I need where do I get it and what is the part number? Any help well be grate thank ya'll.

After you get the left side cover off, the starter idler gear will just slip out. Then some sort of puller must be used to pop the flywheel off the end of the crankshaft. I lucked out and a simple 2-jaw puller worked on mine. You can buy the proper puller on e-Bay for around $25. Look for 30mm X 1.5mm.
On mine, (a 2000 Bayou 220) the clutch and gear were fine..The 3 bolts that secure the clutch to the flywheel had sheared off cleanly, letting the clutch and gear flop around making a lot of noise.. |
