Hello,
So once again, another Alaskan extreme cold weather problem. I have a Curtis oem large plow, and the actuator is just at its limit. It'll lift okay, but once snow weighs the plow down or the temperature is below -10, the clutch just slips on the linear actuator. Also, I'm going to buy a much faster and higher capacity actuator sometime soon to deal with the conditions. I'm trying to get a power angle on the plow, but the measurements are all odd, so I wouldn't get a full stroke if it will fit. Is there a Curtis hydraulic system out there that I can get that will fit correctly, or do I need to get the local U.S. Bearings and Drives dealer to get a custom made system of warner linear actuators. Once I get this to work, I'll post some pics of the whole system and send out the specs, so that any other oem plow owners can get a power angle/lift. Any ideas? Thanks |
