trans issues help needed thanks

belive that the dampner spring is the problem but dont really understand why its there.....driving on flat pavement no bumps humps or jumps...in 4wd it pops continuosly bout every 30 secs or so ......tires have the same amount of air still popping stager the pressure still popping.......but....in low range tires smoking from trying to pull a dodge ram 3500 in park ...no popping noise at all ..it seems to pop when in hi range no matter what road condition any help would be great ....oh all the gears are fine u joints good and it now has new front wheel bearings.......it is a 3010 diesel mule p.o.s

I can tell you what I found in my 3010 that was used to try to pull a drop box. A broken cross pin in the spider gear assembly. busted in 3 pieces. trans disassembly was neccessary to find it. Not too bad a job to fix. Tim
