Default 610 speedo

Glad you finaly got your speedo. Now,does it really run 25 and make your eyes water! I've got 100 hours on mine and it's starting to slow down on long hills. Guess I'm going to have to adjust the lifters.Probably been lucky to go this long.Where did you get your speedometer? I need to price one too,I'd like to have one. I really found it interesting that the gas gauge on yours stuck. Mine did too and I took it apart ,put the pocket knife to it,now it works fine! Keep giving us 610 owners tips. How many hours do you have on yours by now?

i hit 32 today while checking out the speedo and that's what i've been getting on the GPS with stock tires...

i had the same loss of power as you...adjusted the valves and all the power came back...if you have a service manual, all the details are in there...all you need are some feeler gauges and a valve cover gasket...

i've been calling Beartooth for all my parts...they give us a good discount and they've shipped ASAP...they know these vehicles very well...much better than my local dealer...

i have a little more than 100 hrs on the main hourmeter...buggy runs great...

i think it was about $160 with the discount for the speedo kit(the gauge, connectors, and speed sensor)...

the install is very easy...
i took a razor knife and cut out the inner hole for the gauge on the dash...behind the dash is an existing bracket which the gauge will bolt right on to..the studs are on the gauge, holes are already in the bracket, thumb screws come with the speedo for the studs..

under the dash in the front is an existing wire harness which the speedo plugs into...it's in a little black bag..plug the speedo wires in color to color...

the other end of the existing harness is at the rear of the vehicle on the driver's side of the case...this end is also in a little black bag...this end gets hooked to the speed sensor...

the speed sensor bolts into the passenger side of the rear case...use a 10mm socket to pull the existing sensor bung cover...pull off the cover, install the sensor, and use the 10mm bolt to hold the sensor in place...hook up the sensor to the included connector, connect wires to existing harness, turn the key and check it out..

they don't give this piece away, but the quality looks as good as any gauge out there...the analog speed readout is SUPER smooth...the digital readout is for the tripmeter and odometer....the Kawi site says hourmeter is on digital display also...i'm not sure about the hourmeter yet...the backlighting looks great at night...worth every penny to me...
