I think I read this on here before, but can't find it. It seems there's a gas smell on my oil dip stick. How does this happen? Could be be from leaving the choke on to long? Help if you can Thanks

4 weeks and no answer? I'll try...
There is another post regarding this and the most logical answer that I recall from it was that the carb was not seated properly or loose. Worth checking anyway.
I can tell you that it is not normal.
dont know much about mules but it sounds like your return line is cloged or something ( sending gas stright into the engine un burned insted of sending it back to the tank) this prevent flooding. change your oil because the gas just wrecked it and the oil is no good.
The main reason we see fuel in the oil is when the mule is not fully warmed up and is used for a lot of stop and go. We have dog kennels around here and the start, move 10 feet and turn off kills these motors.
What I would recomend is change the oil asap as stated above. Then try to ensure that the mule is fully warmed up at the beginning of the day, that should stop the wash of the cylinders and the extra gas getting into your oil..
Hope this helps.

Thank you for all your help, I've changed the oil and make sure now that it is warmed up before taking off and using little of the choke. Thanks again. Always good advise from the people on this site
