No. Keep the wiring separate. If you got a solenoid and a small switch for the handlebars, mount the solenoid in a safe place. Power comes from the battery to the solenoid terminals. 2 other terminals on the solenoid will take cables that go to the winch. 2 small wires go to the handlebar switch from the solenoid to switch it on. You may want to take one of these from a keyed power source.
If you got a generic and no solenoid, The switch is wired the same as a solenoid but without the small remote wire. |
