EPI Primary clutch puller - kawasaki praire 360

Hi gang... I bought a epi primary clutch puller for my 2003 kawasaki praire 360

I put this in there and I tightened it up very hard, and it never popped the primary clutch... what gives?

im going to ask EPI today i think

they said to fill it with grease so it acts like a hydrolic push... fyi
