Um yea, Looks like a lot of fun, but I don't have need for that kind of mule. I'll be in my cabin. |

My department is looking into getting a couple off government grant for fire suppression in our wooded ecological preserve area. We also just bought a Polaris with a bad@ss pump for events where we typically get a lot of dumpster/garbage/grill fires. Here's the only pic I can post as I'm not allowed to put up anything with identifying information in it

I just got a 600 for the wife. She loves it. Uses it for hauling EVERYTHING!

PLAY: I put it on my utility trailer and haul it over to friends' houses and go Mulin' through the woods, trails, neighborhoods, esplorin', wherever. Storage under the hood is perfect for a cooler and at least 20 "refreshments". And, the Mule is slow enough you're not likely to get all tanked up and hurt somebody, draw attention, etc. WORK: The Mule doesn't tear up the lawn, so I throw my yard tools, chainsaw, clippers, trimmer, etc. in the bed, attach my lite-duty trailer for debris/ leaves/ branches/ junk/ dirt, and do my yard work, weeding, raking, pruning, with it. WORK: I even made a roof out of 5/8" plywood, rounded the corners & edges, sanded it, and attached it with U-bolts (drilled no holes in the roll bar); I can stand on that and clean out the gutter, or cut tree limbs up nice and high where I don't have to do it again 2 months later. Also keeps the rain off pretty good. PLAY: Give rides! People like rides on Mules! Even has seatbelts if somebody's all scared. And a roll bar! My sister even lets my 9-year-old niece ride, and man, THAT is sayin' something. PLAY: People also like standing in the back and riding, hanging onto the roll bar ... even though Kawasaki says not to do it. I'm not sayin' do it, just that people do. People I know. PLAY: Let others drive - Who cares if somebody hurts it or scratches it? It's a MULE! And, a CAMO Mule at that! Oh, actually a 4x4 Camo Mule, can't hardly get it stuck, around here anyway! Automatic = easy to drive for most anybody, no shifting. GAS: The thing is actually GREAT on GAS! I am continually surprised after using it a number of times, not keeping track of hours or miles or anything, I'll get the feeling it MUST need to be filled up, stop at the gas station, and BAM ... 1.5 gallons fills it all the way back up. (Of course, that's like FIVE BUCKS now; Still good, though, could be worse) Looks like more PLAY than WORK I guess. But that's OK! |

Our 1000 spent from birth to 04 on a dairy farm being abused. It sat for 2 years until I bit the bullet and finished assembling it. Now over 2000 more miles on it, most of them for fun. My wife and the dogs, then her mother and her dog wandering up the irrigation ditch road, or a 2 + mile trip on county roads to her twin sisters. I've used it to haul tree branches chokes together when we thinned some trees last spring. Works for us.

Got my 3010 back in 05, didn't tell wife I was getting it. Wanted her to see it at work when she pulled into the drive way so I did a ton of loadng fire wood only for her not to come home when I did, went out and played on the trails and got it all mudded up and when I got back to the house she was pulling in. Not a pretty sight but hey we're still together and my uses range from yard work, to haulin friends around the country side, to hauling huner and deer around the camps. Best thing I ever got myself

After shopping around- looking at John Deere and Polaris- I chose a Kawasaki 3010 for use as a grip department vehicle on movies and commercials. I immediatly removed the dump bed and attached a custom-welded deck that has places to attach aluminum pipe to the bed. These pipes allow the grips to safely attach large film and video cameras (and related grip hardware) to the Mule. We film scenes of people running (chase scenes and sports) and other action like horses running. Just used it on a Steve Martin movie in Boston, chasing a car as it speeds through an outdoor cafe. I don't use it for play.

Hello- I am looking hard at a Mule- 40 years ago I tore up our farm with a Honda 305 scrambler- Now with retirement looming a Mule seems like the way for me to go back to the fun days of old and keep my wife happy. I got rid of my Piper Cherokee airplane last year and have decided to do my exploring on 4 wheels.

Hi,
My mule's been everywhere. In Alaska, 1. Dragging 3000 pound logs 2. Going in the White Mountains and back--30 mile trip on a rocky, steep trail 3. Plowing rods and driveways in the middle of -20 degrees 4. Going through some severe woods riding up steep hills too 5. Pulling neighbors out and getting favors owed 6. Everywhere my friends' argo's been 7. Towing trailers with some logs up a treacherous steep road 8. Helping fix that road 9. Doing doughnuts 10. Hauling friends home at -20 below ---This thing surprises me all of the time!--- ![]() |
