A well tuned gas 3010 will get in the teens.

The best way to know if you are jetted too rich is to read the spark plugs for color and carbon deposits.

I normally drop a size on the pilot and one or two sizes on the main jet over 4,500 to 6,500, then drop another size on the main over 6,500 feet. Since your machine was from 3,000 it may already be dropped one size on the mains, but likely still has the OEM pilot.

Fuel economy is most greatly impacted by the pilot jet, as the constant velocity nature of the carb tends to limit impact of rich mains to some extent, you just will not have full power it is sized properly.

A really good way to know if the pilot jets are too large is to set the bleed air screw in to just finger snug on the seat and then back it out 1 and one half turns. If the machine idles like a slug until you back the air bleed screw out another turn or more, then the pilot is too rich (large).
