Default 08 brute force 750 problems slipping

Hi
I just recently bought a new 08 Brute Force 750. I have 26in terra cross tires, and 12 inch ITP SS 108's It has 127 hrs on it.
My Problem, in high gear, if you give it a little gas it seems like it slips a little bit, then picks up and go's on. It dosent seem to do this in reverse or low. I havent asked the dealer about it yet, just wondering what you guys might think. I havent been rough on it. No mud holes. One creek that wasnt bad. just wondering what you think about it.

From the symptoms and the tire size you list, I would suspect you have a glazed belt. Once you increase the tire diameter it increases the torque requirement for the belt and after about a 100 hours the belt is pretty much toast. It is just a trade off that most people live with.

Im sorry, I forgot to add that it had these symptoms before I put on the tires. What else might caused a glazed belt.
Thanks

Nailing the throttle and spinning the wheels or going for maximum acceleration are the most common ways to glaze a belt. Running one wet and letting it squeak itself dry is another.

my atv p360 4x4 2003 did the same exact thing, while it was under war. i brought it back and they said it was still in tolerance (the belt tension) but they put it on the other side of the tolerance... was much better then

ALSO with larger tires, consider different clutch springs...

epi springs

good luck

NO

As i said, clutch springs, and shimming the secondary so that it grabs harder

you have different sized tires, it will slip a little, but remember it slips only to get going.

Has the belt ever been wet?

i am not sure i fullly understand but you should only switch gears from reverse to neutral to high or low when STOPPED... no grinding should ocur!

Its not when your stopped, its after you've been riding about 10-15 min when the machine is warmed up, you gas it going about 35-45 mph the shifter does not move but the macine is not in gear either you are suspened btween neutral and high the machine is coasting and grinding at the same time, once you get stopped you can just tap on the shifter and it pops back into high and you can take off again till it happens again.

Your transmision is jumping out of gear and the linkage is trying to reengage the gear, making a grinding sound, you need to have the engine at an idle to keep the driven shaft from turning and grinding, when the engine is above an idle the torque convertor is turning the driven shaft. It is like in a stick shift car when you would try to shift with the engine reved up and not engaging the clutch, eventually you could badly damage the transmission even further than it already is. You probably have a linkage out of adjustment or a shifter dog and gear shifting groove worn and that allows the transmission to jump put of gear under power. It is going to be expensive now but a lot more expensive if you don't get it fixed. (In My Humble Opinion)

So if it does not jump out of low gear what do you think the cause is?

Then if it does jump out of low gear and high gear both, what do you think the cause is?
Thanks, One a linkage problem, and the other an internal gear problem or a detent?

I did not try it to see if it would jump out of Low gear. I was afraid of burning up the trans.

When I purchased the machine there was a miss in the idol. A friend of mine was with me and we figured it was Spark plugs. The front one was not a problem to fix. The back one however was aweful, and the linkage was in the way. I may have put a little to much pressure on it to try and get my fingures back to the plug.

Is this linkage that Fragile or sensitive.
