power yes speed no due to the rear end gears are not changeable you can get maybe 5 -6 horse power gain but its really not worth it unless you plan on raceing or want better throttle responce keep this in mind the more power you make the faster the motor will burn up rings and piston etc its best to leave it stock if you want longjivity out of your machine my bike is a 86 and i bought it used from a 1 owner and when i got it i had to rebuild the top end it was original parts that i took out so that means it lasted 20-21 yrs on a top end -corey-
