Question warning decal removal from camo finish?

Hi I did a search but couldn't find anything, has anybody tried to remove any of the decals from a camo finished mules? , I'm worried the decal might lift the finish ,there is one on my 610 ,on the glove box door, and one on the hood, the more important one's will stay , Craig.

hello well if they are are just sickers over the clearcoat paint then you can use a hair dryer to lightlty warm the sticker up and peel it of and then use some goo gone to remove the glue left over but if they clear coated over the sticker its not comeing off easy with out paint damage.you can also use a dull palstic scraper to assit in reomoving the sticker while heating it up with a hair dryer.then ounce you got the sticker residue off with goo gone wash it down and wax and or buff the finsh back to a nice shine hope this may help out- corey-

Corey that's pretty much the same way I've always removed stickers but this finish is sort of a matte finish and I'm afraid it might come up , I guess I'll have to bite the bullit and try a small one first , I guess I was expecting to hear "I took mine off they came off easily" !, lol , Thanks , Craig.

No experience with it personally, but I would imagine that the camo finish is not a paint job with clear coat, I think its some sort of giant sticker type skin, correct me if Im wrong. I think the best way to do it is with your finger nail, maybe slightly heat it up but not too much because you dont want to mess up the camo.

Again, I am not 100% on that, if it does have a clear coat, please inform me because Ive have been thinking it was a sticker type skin this whole time.

You know I thought the same thing ,but if you look under the hood you can see over spray in a beige color! if it is clear coated is a semi gloss/matte finish. , maybe there's a base coat then its finished my the dipping method , they apply the finish on top of a liquid , then dip the part in to it and you have the camo finish , I saw it on tv ,pretty cool but I don't know how durable it is vs. paint,I originally wanted a red 09 or a left over 08 but they didn't have the 09's in yet ,and made a great deal on this 07 still in the crate , I guess I won't know till I try , Craig.

I would suggest you try Ronsonol lighter fluid...the stuff for zippos in the yellow bottle. Once you try it you will NEVER go back to Goo-Gone!
