i havent changed my bearings in over 10 years in the back differential. i got the left one off, but the right one with the longer shaft wont budge and the middle even popped out. just the outer shell is stuck and wont come out.
please msg with ideas, im desperate!!!!! |

I presume you have unbolted the four bolts and removed the position plate that holds the bearing in the tube. That being the case, the best solution is to pick up some PB Blaster and soak the outer bearing race and axle tube overnight. Then take a small, and I do mean small, ball pein hammer and tap evenly and lightly all around the axle housing over the bearing race and oil seal then spray it with PB Blaster and allow it to soak overnight again.
Then take your slide hammer and invert the jaws to catch the outside race and pull it right out. You will have to hook the jaws over the inner oil seal and it will pull with the bearing.
