Default 2WD selector?

Hey I was looking in a Cabelas catalog the other day and I came across a 2WD selector switch for my quad, but I was wondering if you guys have any info on it? Ease of install? How do you like it? How durable is it?

If anyone has any info on it I would really appreciate it, as much as I like the 4WD for the woods around my house, which has no trails at all, the truth is that I really don't need it, if there's something in the woods that requires 4WD, I usually go around it, plus after you get off my 19 acres and start getting on my neighbors, eventually there are well established trails all the way to my friends house which is about 3 miles away, and I'd prefer the maneuverability of 2WD on those trails as they're really twisty and fun. Thanks in advance.

I am not sure which ATV you have, but the unit sold by Cabella is a cable actuated device made by Warn that replaces the electric servo that switches the dog clutch on the front axle. It really only eliminates the automatic switching that is done by the OEM servo motor, so you can lock out (or in) four wheel drive yourself.

I know it is particularly handy on Honda's that tend to lock in the front axle during regular riding, and on the big Yamaha Grizzly that is a pain in the neck to steer when the servo routinely fails and will not release. I have never seen one on a Kawasaki or Suzuki.

I have a 2001 Kawasaki Prairie 300 4X4 (check sig) and I've read a lot of positive reviews but no negative ones, however, these customer reviews are mostly from Hondas, but maybe I'll just have to try it and see.
