The 1995 Bayou 400 is an excellent ATV, and would be suitable for snow plowing. You have to use common sense, they are not up to really slamming into deep snow and powering it out like a big tractor. However, they will work deep snow out of a driveway if you are careful. I would not go out and try to attack a three foot drift head on with one, but they will easily handle it a chunk at a time. You also have to keep your foot off the gear selector when you are working one, as the clutch works on a cam from the shift lever and any pressure on that lever will slip the clutch.

The price is in the ballpark of what I would expect. They range from under a thousand fr a beat one to around $1,300 for a really nice unit.

Frankly, the gear driven ATV's are a whole lot more economical and durable than the newer belt driven powerhouses for most use, and they are actually much better for hunting and outdoor activities because of the reduced weight and better speed control and compression braking on steep ground.
