Default 2005 Brute Force 2wd/4wd trouble flash

About two months ago I made a post regarding the alternating 2wd/4wd indicators that show a faulty converter/brake motor or a faulty 2wd-4wd motor that enables or disengages the front drive system. I checked the machine out per the manual. And the speed sensor. I didn't find anything wrong. This flashing problem was intermittent and I may have dectected the engine brake not working all the time, but it seemed to work. The Kaw mech said it was most likely the engine brake actuator as the flashing times indicated. But me, NOT wanting to spend $280 or whatever dollars blindly for a new actuator (motor) took the convertor cover off and inspected the thing. The belt was fine but there was belt dust, etc. on the linking mechanism of the actuator. So I cleaned and lubed it per the manual. So Far So Good. No flashing lights. I will post any failure, but I THINK I HAVE THE PROBLEM SOLVED. MAYBE IT JUST WASN'T OPERATING SMOOTHLY AND HUNG UP OR SOMETHING.

Hey guys, i have an '05 750 and have had some trouble with mine. Just had it replaced as it died finally, the other area to check and clean is under the seat. They told me that some of the connections get really dirty under there and can sometimes cause some problems. Also Kawasaki has just revised the little motor and says it corrects all the bugs from the previous model. Good luck with it..
