have you set up the air flow screw properly ?its the screw under the carb its a pain to get to it but that may be the issue now ....take that screw and tighten it up gently then back it back off 11/2 turns out to start as a base point and go out from there if needed -corey-

i tried setting it at 11/2 turns and went out to about 21/4 turns and it tries to stay running but it still aint there. this is confusing to me i have had the carb apart several times and cleaned it extremely good and blew it all out with air. you leave the choke on and it will purr, and all that.

Take off the rubber boot that connects the carb to the engine and inspect it closely it may have a hole or dry/crack place in it. somewhere you are getting too much air and compensating more fuel w/ choke

yeap the oring on the intake could be worn out and lettin to much air in which would give you a lean concern which you r havein inspect it closely and massage the rubber boot to see if there are any cracks in it and just replace that oring on the rubber manifold and when u put it back together use a drop of red high heat high strenght loc tight on the manifold bolt so they do not come loose.corey.
