Default 360 Prairie 4x4 light flashing

Hi everyone! I just bought a 05 Prairie 360 4x4! Everything seems to work great but the 4x4 light keeps flashing. What does this mean? Thanks in advance for the help.

I just picked up my wifes 08 360 prarie from the shop,4 x 4 light flashing still under warrenty. Depends on the flash timing ( number of times between flashes) according to the dealer and the manual. It is either the EBC electronic brake control / 4 wheel drive solenoid or the brain. According to my mechanic it could be caused by something as simple as dirt in the actuator mechanism. If the 4 x 4 engages it is most likely not the front actuator but the engine brake controller. I can never get it to recreate itself at the dealers, But if I disconnect the battery it goes away and may take a month to come back. I don't know how comfortable you are working on your own, but if you can get a service manual it walks you through all the steps to check out the actuators with a volt meter, mine turned out to be the EBC it was just sticking. This should help you pinpoint exactly what the problam is.

Ours didn't matter if it was hot or cold. If we had stopped say for something to eat and a cold one, it may start flashing as soon as it was started up again. I could never realy get it to repeat under a certain condition. It definetly had a mind of its own. So to be honest I have no idea if bike temp has anything to do with it.
