I just finished disassembling , cleaning up and spraying clutch lubricant on the parts that called for it and putting it all back together and reinstalling it. I have a question about the drive convereter cover assembly. There is a beveled ring that looks like it is suppose to fit in the hole of the cover assembly and slide over the sleeve that the spring sits on. My question is, is the sleeve and the beveled ring( when it goes throught the cover assembly ) suppose to be a close fit or is there suppose to be a good bit of slack. Mine has slack in it and when you give it a little gas, it start to flop right there. When you give it full throttle, it smooths out and when you let off of the gas all the way it stops.
