I bought my bike the last week of August, and got my packet last week. After my year is up I'm just going to go with what my insurance offers for road service.

I have road side assistance on the bike through my insurance company (Progressive) only costs me an extra $8 for the year. I think that's 8 bucks per year well spent.Originally Posted by whistle clean
Back when it was the "GTOC" they at least put out a small, halfway decent magazine once in a while. Lately, it appears they have gone cheap and sent nothing but some kind of crummy half-assed card a few months ago, so if that's what Kawasaki thinks of their customers I'm not staying with it.
Not surprisingly, I still haven't heard one word from ROK through the whole summer. They obviously dropped the ball when it came to my membership. Luckily, I never needed their RoadSide assistance, so I just left well enough alone after calling and calling and calling and calling...

Received mine 3 months after purchasing the bike. By that time I completely forgot about it. I could have used it, when I had a dead battery 2 weeks after purchasing the bike. Luckily a stranger gave me a jump. Took the bike back to the dealer and they replaced the battery.

First, let me say, that the premium ROK membership is worth it just for the towing.
I tried to start a ROK chapter with the sponsorship of my dealer. I set up a web site, put out flyers, and sent out e-mails, all at my expense. Kawasaki would not help me recruit members. You know, all this privacy stuff. The first problem I encountered was Kawasaki thinks this should be run through the dealer, like HOG. They want the chapters to represent multiple types of riders. Street, cruisers, off-road, and race with the primary emphasis on race. I have nothing against these other type of bike but they are all different kinds of ridding styles and equipment. At one time my wife and I belonged to Star Touring and Ridders. I thought that this what Kawasaki would do. And if the street bike ridders, for example, wanted, they would form their own chapter. But the biggest problem comes from with Kawasaki. The employees that run ROK all have other jobs. This is one of those oh! By the way, in your spare time you will handle this ROK thing. I could not get
new to all this. so much has changed in 20 years. thsi rok and ama. why should i join-whta are the benefits and coverage???
Well, like I said, the towing, and it is true that you can get coverage from AAA, AMA, and others. I have belonged to Good times Owner Club (now ROK) since 1998 when I purchased my first Kow. Other than that I have never got much more out of it. They don’t even have a decent magazine. I was hopping that the chapters would take off, but we just don’t see eye to eye on it.
