Default Helmets for small heads

I've read a bunch of threads on helmets, and quite a few articles... but still need help. I also went to a couple of dealers, but helmet selections are ****.

I have small head -- one of my helmets is Medium (full face), and it's just a little loose. My half helmet is small, and fits fine, but is a little large (large shell, lots of padding). With some of the brands I try, XS fits best. I would like to find some helmets that fit a little better and are less noisy.

Here's my problem (I think): most helmets use the same shell for all sizes (I know Shoei and Arai use a couple of shell size, but I couldn't find them). So when I try an XS helmet which uses the same shell as an XXL helmet, it feels heavy and looks very dorky. There is like 2.5" of padding on each side! I understand, comfort and dsafety above all else, but that's just too much. Not only does it make me look like a storm trooper with a disproportionately large head, it's heavy and uncomfortable.

Are there people with small heads like mine out there that have helmets they like, where the shell size is not too large? Brands, sizes, types, etc. My primary target is a 3/4 with a retractable shield, but I'd like to get some good recommendations on all types (Full, 3/4, half). Thanks all!

Find a dealer that stocks "Scorpion" helmets and try one on. Extremely nice helmets at a fair price and they make them mostly for smaller heads. Their XL (largest they make right now) is about the same size as HJC's Large. I would have bought one by my old "bucket" head was just too big.

Oh boy. I don't want to stand next to you! I'd look like a freak. I have a big head, broad shoulders, big hands and feet... Shoot. Maybe I'm really a man! If it weren't for my ample bosom, I'd really have to wonder.

It's all good I'm 5'8", 125lbs, and as I've mentioned have a small head. Just a skinny guy My wife is 6'0", 145lbs (normally, she is 33 weeks pregnant now, so the weight is a little off), with a normal head. She never thought she looked like a freak next to me... though she was never shy making the comment in my direction

Maybe I missed something, but the only thing I got out of that post was the ample bosom part. Way to go Julie!

Dennis, you're certainly no freak! I'd really like to built like you (well, with the exception of the flat chest and that package below the belt). LOL

When is the baby due? How exciting!

Oh, and thanks guys. What a bunch of pervs.

Say, my bosom's fine. How's yours Carlo? Is it ample, or just apples?

Do you know whether this baby is a boy or a girl?

I have a friend whose two nieces have their birthdays the same week. Their parents just combine the two birthdays into one. It works out really well for them.

As for the rest of you guys, I'm currently losing some weight, and as my weight drops, my b**bs get smaller. So it's not as exciting as it might sound. If I can down to where I want to be, they'll be pretty insignificant.

Hey congrats on the new one ... We are due November 18'th! Number three for us. It was a surprise no doubt ... My swimmers are stong! Yeah TMI ... I agree

And Julie, I'm 6"5 and fairly wide shouldered ... You can stand next to me if that helps
