Default Meanie 2500 mi Oil Change - Need To Change Oil Filter Too?

Quick question - I had my 500 mi service completed a few months back and am going to change the oil now that I've got 2500 miles on her. Do I also need to replace the oil filter? According to the owners manual, it states every 12 months. According to a local Kawa dealer, he said I should change it.

Input, anyone?

Thanks in advance,
TMac

I have, and always would change the filter at the same time. From a cost perspective I think it's worth it.

I've gotten in the habit of changing the oil, filter, and final gear oil at the same time, every time.

Always thought running new, clean oil thru a used dirty filter just don't make sense! Oil filters are just too inexpensive not to change!

Just my 2 &
Heads up!

Do it, always, and if you can be bothered, drain the old filter and compare with the new one. Tells you a bit about what's going on in the engine.
