Quick question - I had my 500 mi service completed a few months back and am going to change the oil now that I've got 2500 miles on her. Do I also need to replace the oil filter? According to the owners manual, it states every 12 months. According to a local Kawa dealer, he said I should change it.
Input, anyone? Thanks in advance, TMac

Always thought running new, clean oil thru a used dirty filter just don't make sense! Oil filters are just too inexpensive not to change!
Just my 2 & Heads up!

Do it, always, and if you can be bothered, drain the old filter and compare with the new one. Tells you a bit about what's going on in the engine.
