Default 05 Nomad F&S Lightbar

It's been over 5 months since I took possession of my 05 Nomad, and like everyone else....am patiently waiting for a Fire & Steel lightbar. I'm sure my dealer is tired of my weekly visits and inquiries.

I was wondering if the 1600 Classic lightbar might fit, anyone tried this? I've checked out the fork assembly part numbers and detail drawings from Kawasaki. The forks, triple tree assemblies and turn signal brackets are all identical from the Classic to the Nomad. All part numbers match.

Parts diagrams available at :
http://www.kawasaki.com/Default.asp?...homesplash.asp

It's just a thought that possibly we can use the Classic lightbar #K32001-8 rather than waiting for a dedicated part from Fire & Steel for the Nomad. The Classic lightbar description indicates it will fit with or without a windshield so I am assuming our Nomad windshields should fit. Maybe someone else has had this idea and can offer up suggestions? In the mean time, I'll just keep riding and waiting....did I mention this is one **** of a nice bike!!

Keep the rubber side down,

No. The lightbar from the 1600 Classic doesn't fit. My brother has a 2005 Nomad and, like you, he is waiting for the F&S bar. When he got his bike, the dealer had installed the 1600 Classic lightbar thinking it would fit. It does to a certain point. They just can't get the lowers to fit.

If you're just needing some lights you might check gadget's site for some ideas. I mounted two small lights from wally world on the stock turn signal bar -total cost $32.00. Did a similiar trick for some led taillights.

I'm sure the Cobra bar gives that extra bling, but the budget couldn't go there just now. And since I commute daily on my 05 Nomad (and I often work past dark:30) -getting some extra lighting was a must for now.

Thanks Desoto, never thought about the lowers interfering with the lights. Dealer informed me today he had Kawi reps in the store shortly after my last visit and he *****ed them out for me...LOL I was checking out some spotlights from CW Int'l which look pretty decent as well, but will likely hold out for the F&S lightbar since it was a Kawi promotion when I purchased the bike.

Thanks again.

My brother finaly got his yesterday. It looks sweet. If Kawasaki managed to send lightbars to Canada, maybe you'll get yours shortly.
