Trip to Tenn, NC

Spent a week in the area around Pigeon Forge. Fantastic roads every way you turn as long as you stay out of the downtown areas. I didn't get to ride all the roads I wanted to, so I guess I'll have to go back. Darn. A little over 1100 miles total for the trip. I'm still smilin!!

Sounds like you had a ball. Thanks for the pics. I'm taking off the last week in July but still haven't decided on which way to go. Either the Cherokee Foothills Parkway through Ga and up to the Deals Gap area or hitting the BRP up near Boone and taking it up through Skyline Drive and on up into Penn. Planning on doing the camping thing if these old bones can take it...lol

I'm not much of a camper, we had a cabin rented for the week. The wife and in-laws drove with me in the lead on the bike. It was the wifes idea. Needless to say I didn't argue. I just split my time between riding and spending time with the family. I wish I would have had a few more days riding though. I wanted to ride the Cherohala Skyway but didn't have time. It will be first on my list next time.
I had people asking me for directions several times that I stopped to take pictures. I guess people think bikers know where they're going One guy had a funny accent, so I asked where he was from. He replied, South Africa!
