Default If you have the patience for yet another pipe thread...

First, I have searched. Both the internet, and numerous forums.

If I search for Cobra pipes, or Vance & Hines, there is loads of info, reviews, ratings, pictures, sound clips, etc, etc. But, I'm not looking for Cobra or V&H pipes (no offense to any Cobra or V&H customers).

My problem is that I think I like the Roadburner 3" Road Pros with SLT.

Road Pros with SLT for Kawasaki*VN 900s*2006-2008

At least I think I like them from the written description, and generic picture (singular) on Mean Cycle's site, or G Man Industries site. As far as feedback/reviews from actual bikers, the pickings are real slim. I found a couple of old (2007) threads on this forum, but as far as reviews on Mean Cycles, or G Man, or Phat Performance, Cruiser Customizingor any other retailer, there are literally NO reviews.

The pipes are described as lower noise volume with a deeper voice, and i like the way they look.

Has anyone got any real world experience with these pipes? Either on your bike, or a buddies bike? I'd like to hear what you have to say.

The Road Pros are a bit more expensive than a lot of other pipes, but if they do what they claim, as far as the sound, fit and finish, and anti-blueing, a couple hundred bucks is worth it in my book.

Just so you folks know where I'm at currently at with my exhaust; I've modified my stock pipes to stage 3 (drilled out screen, drilled holes in back baffle wall, and punched those holes through the front baffle walls). While the sound is much better than the out of the factory sewing machine sound, it's way to rappy, and high pitched for my liking. I'm not necessarily looking for loud; I'm looking for a quality, low pitched rumble.

Thanks in advance for the input.

See, that's what I'm talking about. No one has heard anything about these pipes?

I can't get there website to cooperate. I click "Metric" and see the drop down selections appear. When I move down to select Kawasaki, it all disappears. What the heck?!

I remember someone quoting a 2007 magazine article that said Muzzy 2-1 and roadburner 2-1 were the only pipes that actually increased HP though...

Maybe ask the vendor if they can provide you any references for the model you want?

Correction. It was roadhouse not burner and it was a 2003 article on 7 different 1500 meanstreak exhaust systems Link...Exhaust pipes for cruiser motorcycles - Accessories & Gear Review - Motorcycle Cruiser

still can't get the roadburner website to function though.....

If you search YouTube, there is a single video I found of the Roadburner SLT's on a 900. They didn't seem a whole lot quieter than most of the other pipes on video, but then the quality of most of those videos is mediocre anyway.

Hacker, if you got a link to the video, I'll take it. I have searched youtube for the past 6 months, high and low, and I only have come up with the same two videos:

The first one is either Street Lites, or Street Pros, different pipes, no SLT
YouTube - Vulcan 900 - Road Burner Exhaust

The second one might be the Road Pro SLT's, but it doesn't say, and I don't speak spanish...

I'll look around. I didn't have time to run through the whole search list this morning. I found the Hard Krome "Res-Techs" which is their version of the SLT's, but nothing on RoadBurner. I know it's there....I distinctly remember seeing it. Perhaps it's been pulled for whatever reason. I'll give it another try this afternoon after work.

Yep. Black ones. I'm OK with chrome, but I LOVE the look of the black.
