Default Selecting and buying the right jets for my VN800?

    Hi all,
My first post on this forum.

I have a question about selecting and buying the right jets.

On my vn800 I added Vance & Hines Cruzer exhaust, K&N filter, Grampsized the air intake and installed the Dynojet kit (stage 1).

From reading this forum and other info on the www I understand that I need to change the jets now to a #50 pilot jet and a #165 Main jet.

-Am I right to assume that these sizes refer to KEIHIN jets? (since numbering seems to be different for other manufacturers)
-What series number of Slow jet do I need to buy (N424-24 or N424-35 or other)
-What series number of main jet (99101-393 or other)

Also suggestions to where I can order these parts online and have them sent to Aruba would be very welcome

    Thanks and best regards,
    Jock

    Welcome aboard!!

I Scooterized my 800 a couple of years ago. I initially had problems getting the correct jets. I ordered from the Internet at first and didn't get what I needed, of course. I found it much easier to just go the a Harley dealer and get the following, but I"m not sure if you have a Harley dealer in Aruba. You may be able to order these numbers on-line though.

    27116-88 - #165 main jet
27101-88 - Main jet holder (emulsion tube)
    27302-84 - #50 pilot (slow) jet

If you need a needle, you can look for Dynojet part number DNO106 (which you may only be able to get by buying a full kit) or a Dynojet needle for a 1500 will also work (Dynojet part number DNO313), but the clip position is different since the 1500 needle is a bit longer.

    Hi Pecos,

Thanks for your help. The Harley guys will order the #50 so that will be here in two weeks and the other parts are in stock.

    Best regards,

    Jock
