I bought my 08 Classic last Febuary, the dealer had not un boxed any 09's and he had only sold one bike since January, I paid cash which helps and gave $5800.00. I think mid winter is the time to get the best deal.

I've called all around and emailed away to lots of different places here. A couple places want MSRP but I have 3 places who are below MSRP. No way do I plan on paying MSRP.
Remember....you can check places an hour or two or three away even. If you find the best deal that distance you can always rent a bike Uhaul trailer for $15 for the day and pull it home if you don't feel comfortable driving it that far right away. *Something I may do as I found a better deal mid-state* Also...you can try and haggle the closest ones to the cheapest prices you can find. Sometimes they will match price. ~Fred |

I got the same financing deal for my '07 LT, and paid it off just like you did. Mine was a little more though, $8,400, which was slightly under MSRP, but OTD.

Got my 07 in Sept. 07, offered 7900.
They took the offer and removed dealer and destination charges. That got me out the door at 8590... Got financing at 6.9 so all and all I have been a happy camper (rider). |

I bought an 09 classic in June for $6500. The prices did range from MSRP to within 200 of what I purchased it for at different shops around here. Two things to consider. The shop I bought from told me that Kawasaki sells them bikes/stock interest free for 6 months. After that it's costing the dealer for a bike to sit around. If you know a bikes been there a long time, that's the bike you'll get a deal on. Also, the shop mentality has alot to do with my purchase. If they seem like pricks while you're buying a bike, wait until you have a problem or need service. The shop I bought from was willing to switch all the painted parts from a new '06 model onto an '09 model so I could get the color I wanted.( Red instead of Burgandy) The shop was also local so they knew they would get my future business. Don't let a couple of hundred dollars make or break the deal. Look at some of the things that will make owning your bike enjoyable. Hope you get a good deal and have fun riding....Del

One of the local dealers has 08 Classic LTs at $6999. No freight or assembly fees. Just sales tax on that. You can see how much play they have when they want. Good luck!

I paid $5200 in nov '08 for a "used" '07. I guess it's true what they say, timeing is everything. It never hurt nobody to make an offer. The worst they can say is no.

I would say cash speaks louder than words. If you see the bike you want and give a number, backed up with full, non-financed, payment they will always deal. Whether you get the price you want is anybody's guess, but never hurts to ask and show them the money. Start throwing trades and financing needs in then it all gets to be funny money. Which sounds odd, because they (the manufactures) used to make just as much on their financing groups. But the dealer looks out for himself and making his own payments on his floor plan. All else being equal, of course.
