Youll be fine for a 2k mile trip---Thats what I thought in june when I found myself in bridgport ca with no tread at all. It just went away in 1000 miles and it looked as good as yours when I left home. Its hard to tell with the bridgstones. I had to camp and wait until a shop opened tues in Bishop and pay $278.00 for a metz 180. good luck

On the Nomad or on the Sabre?

You've already got 22k on the Nomad?

Vulcans eat tires and you can't compare them to the Sabre and other lighter bikes.

If you DO have 22k on your Nomad, please share your secrets because in general, V2K owners are happy to get 5k, and the 900 and 1600 are doing good if they can get better than 10k on any tire, and better than 8k on the stockers is really good.

    Looks like it's done.

Check it with a tread depth gauge. If it's under 3mm, it's done and doesn't have 1,000 left in it. If it's at 4mm, it's got a couple thousand left.

The last couple of mm go very quickly.

I went ahead and bit the bullet.

Ordered me a set of ME880 WWW's today. Can't wait to get them in and see how they look.

6500 on my 900 and was told last weekend that the rear will not pass inspection. I knew it was going to be needed really soon, but I still figured it'd pass Don't know what the deal is with tire life but I'm ~150lbs, almost never 2up, keep an eye on the pressure and thought I lived in an area with decent roads.
