18k for that bike is a very competitive price, and I think it looks great too. I sat on a Vision at a bike show and was surprised at how nicely set up it was. HUGE floorboards- you could move your feet all over the place on a long trip to change your seating position and stay comfortable. The bars are pulled back perfectly and the seat was real nice. I'd own one if I had the spare $$ to spend.

I'm really digging that Cross Roads too. I've never been a fairing lover and this gives a great option to have a good touring bike.

For those who don't like the bags- how many like the Corbin Beetles or the other rounded aftermarket hard bags? I like the way these flow with the lines of the bike.

I'll second that. I want the all the fancy stuff though, well actually I really want the CB and XM radio. I don't need the 1200 GPS, I'd like it, but it would be the last thing that I add.

I like the all the black look and you can still add the trunk to these for longer trips, or trips with the misses. In town though, I'd roll this all day.

I've seen the GPS on the Victory Vision and to me it looks just like a Garmin StreetPilot 2820 GPS that's been re-branded with the Victory label. I bet you could buy a Vision with their $90 GPS mount option, buy a Garmin 2820 GPS yourself at much lower cost and it would work just fine on the bike.

Yes, yes you can. In fact the dealer I spoke with, recommended that option.

Well if someone does GIVE you a Vision, you could always give it to me... Hey it didn't cost you a thing and you could really help me out...

That's the way it is, you love it or hate it. Check out "Rider" mag for this month. It compares the Venture, Ultra Classic, Vision and Voyager. Vision would have been # 1 if the 4 riders giving their input liked the look. They all hated it. But they all loved the way it handle etc.

I agree. 18k is a really good price for what you get, IMO. I really like that Cross Roads myself.

Yep, never read a bad review on how it rides and handles. Only complaint is like you said. People just seem to really love it or really hate it. I kind of like the idea of not having something you see every where too. I've only seen one other Vision on the roads around here.

Another cool thing about those huge floorboards is that they are part of a built-in tip-over protection feature that protects the bike from damage:

It looks like it came out of a buck rodgers movie and I don't like it at all but It probably is designed very well and is a well made bike and great for what it is. At the same price as a "Voyeger" probably a detter deal. The paint on the Victorys are usaly really well done.
