Default 09 Nomad

I sat on a Nomad today'.dealer wanted to let me ride it. Really nice bike
I like it better than the voyager because it has a lower center of wieght-gravity. At any rate the new Nomads are cool . I will keep my lt900 but want a Nomad now.One other sweet ride by Kawasaki.1700 Nomad ,I wonder what the wife will say?

I have my eye on two...possibly three larger bikes.

Nomad is the top of the list.
Yamaha Royal Star Venture would be next.

As I rode away on my lt900 i thiught about how easy this bike is to ride and it is a great midsized cruiser. Do I want to go big? yes

There is a review of the new Voyager vs a H-D touring bike in some mag I saw at the store, you may want to read the article before buying, some interesting numbers. BB

I sat on one yesterday. Really cool. Kawi went too budget (cheap) on the saddle bags though. It is twice what I paid for the 900LT last year. The wallet will just let admire from a far.

That article was in Motorcyclist. The HD was said to have the most comfort but a little less power. Pappie

But her on that super comfy seat and tell her this is "her" bike so that she can be extremely comfortable and feel secure compared to the seat on the 900.

It worked for me. My girlfriend went from "this is nice" on the 900 to "fire up the NOMAD boy" when I first sat her on the 09 Nomad. We eventually bought an 08, but the 09 is awesome...

I love riding our NOMAD for cruising with my Honey. It's big and roomy with plenty of power for us. I love riding the 900 every day...It's like a zippy little sports car while the NOMAD is the Lincoln Continental.

I also love the look of the Nomad. Pipes on either side... hard bags, what's not to like? I think the 08 might be better because of the higher quality bags, less price now (some new to be had), and not sure if the 1700 vs the 1600 is that much difference.

Who has ridden both and can weigh in on the differences in engine power, cruising, etc. ? I'd be interested in knowing...
