Hi guys,
I got my hands on a very good deal for a 200/70/15 Avon Venom for my VN900C ($75 and brand new). Now I want to buy the front but the Avon Venom 90/90 won't fit unless I mod so I'm thinking about the 90/90/21 Metzler. I know on cars is not recomeded to install diff brands due to the traction diff but what do you guys think about in motorcycles? Since the rear and front are way diff in size I woun't think it would be an issue but I want to hear what you guys think. Tks

no problems at all.... Moto's the only concern you have is inline, since the rear is the only drive wheel nothing to worry with. With cars really the only concern really are a couple... one would be "pulling" on getting better traction then the other causing a "pull" (more for front whl drives) the other is for like Subaru that have a touchy transfer case and you can actually destroy the t-case if the difference is to much.

When I got the nail in my OEM rear last year, I put the 200 Metz on there and road with the OEM front until just recently. Only thing bad about it was having the different tread patterns from an aesthetic perspective. Drove me nuts!!!

I got a Perilli on the rear now and the stock Dunlop on the front, i see no difference except the new rear corners better and brakes better.

When my Dunlop 404 wore out on the 900 I had Metz 880 rear and D404 front, all the "literature" aka propaganda by liability maniacs, said YOU CAN'T DO THAT!
I found zero issue with it. Now I have a general on the back and a Stone on front, haven't crashed & burned yet! (plus I run car oil...I know...I'm really asking for it!
