Welcome Andy. If it is still under warranty I would let them keep it until they find and repair the problem. I don't know much about the electronics on those bikes, but sounds like a bad sensor or connection somewhere.

I had my bike for just over a year, great bike!! Went across country has just over 12000 miles. But what is going on periodically is this.
My FI light and FI in odometer comes on and the bike dies, this occurs intermittently. One time after 8 miles, 108 miles, 24 miles. Had to have it towed, mechanic has no clue because it never occurs all the time. He gave me a cable to jumper from plug 37 to ground and only one time did the code show up but I didnt get to count it fast enough. But then after I jump the cable (under the seat), the FI resets and then the bike will start. But sometimes I can go 10 feet to 100 miles before I have to jump it again. More frustrating and lack of dependable bike. I think it is an awesome bike but does anyone out there can help me?? I dont have the owners manual but used this web site for the codes. For some reason, the FI light goes out but doesnt display any code otehr than one time. Any help?!?!?!?
Thanks
Andy

If you turn the ignition switch off then on, does it start again? If it does, I had a similar problem that was caused by a faulty ignition switch. My Streak would die without warning. Turning the switch off then on got me going till it died again. I got it replaced under waranty and the bike as run like a champ since.
Don't go where the path leads you, instead go where there is no path and leave a trail
Well I was one of the first to find out about the fan fuse, I had overheated to the point of boiling over. But that occured at 200 miles, and no problems since then. The dealer had juts heard about it and sold me the bike just after the recall. But that was over 12,000 miles ago. I'll list what happens so it is easier to read.
1. FI Light comes on (either stopped or moving (usually slower speeds (20-30 mph)
2. Bike shuts off
3. Even if I shut off bike the FI light will stay lite until overnight or until the next step.
4. I take the seat off and jumper (#37) a cable to ground. At which time the FI light turns off, but I can SOMETIMES ride 1 mile or 100 miles after the reset. Sometimes if it dies after 1 miles, and I reset it I can reset it 3 or more times and the "code" is never displayed.
I will check out the Gadgit web site, thanks!!!
The bike is awesome, now in Hawaii but the very frustrating.
