Finally scrapin' boards!

2006 V2K, Powershots, stock intake. I bought a PCIII because I was still getting popping on decel and the plugs looked lean. I set it up with the downloadable map for my configuration, and set the 0% throttle setting to +10 for all RPM ranges. It doesn't pop on decel at all anymore, which is nice. I also enabled the accelerator pump program on it and set it to sensitivity 90, 20rpm's, and 15% enrichment (this is just straight from the example in the manual, I don't actually know what I'm doing).
The throttle response seems better after the accel. pump adjustment. Are any of you using it? What do you have it set to? Also, is the 10% enrichment at 0% throttle going to cause any problems with fuel dilution or anything? It seems OK but it's only been 30 miles or so since installation. I plan on getting it dyno tuned, but need to get a new intake 1st. Thanks for reading. The PCIII is definitely a cool device!

I ran the accelerator pump program on my Mean Streak for a while. I tried a few different settings. When I finally had it where I could acually feel it work I noticed my gas mileage dropped about 3-4 mpg so I stopped using it.
A professional dyno is a good idea after you open the intake. I like a smooth throttle roll. If you set the pump to work with a smooth throttle movement your mileage would go down more. I think the accelerator pump program is more useful for race set up bikes with more advanced tuning.

Add too much fuel and your throttle response will get worse rolling back into the throttle from closed throttle. I have the old serial port PCIII on my 1500 MS. 500 rpm increments istead of 250. At 0% I have 6 @ 1500 rpm, 25 @ 2,000 rpm, 40 @ 2,500 and up. At 2% I have 10 @ 3,000 rpm and up. Not saying that's what your V2K should run but it's an example.

Hmm... it seems to be better than it was pre-PCCIII now, so maybe I lucked out and hit a decent enough balance. Any of you guys have a good source for a cheap tornado intake?

To stop the decel pops on my V2K, with a PCIII, Barons Big Air Kit and HK Sideburners, I had to set my 0% throttle settings to 50% and I still have some decel pop if I don't COMPLETELY back off the throttle during decel, which means I need to richen up the next one, I think that's 7% throttle. I read that the V 2K is a huge motor and is Hungry for fuel, so I was told not to worry about setting the 0% throttle settings as high as 65%. But I also didn't touch the 0% settings below 1000 rpms, that is the idle circuit, so I stayed away from 1000 rpms and below.
I have had no issues at 50%. I get 38-40 mpg in town on a regular basis, and I don't ride like Grandpa.

LordGT, that's good to know. 10% is doing it for me now, but I have no aftermarket intake, of course. Did you play with the accelerator pump at all?
