They might be a cool toy, but like the others have said, the T-Rex would be an even cooler toy.

I think its a nice alternative for someone who wants/needs a trike.

I thought the Spydr would be cool for my old age till I heard how computerized it is. Notice how in the vid they just cruise, no "don't try this at home" pro driving/playing. (see vehicle stability system)
No way to play with this thing. Spin a tire, It shuts you down. Go into a turn real hot, it shuts you down.

One problem, T-Rex vs Spyder is $50k vs $20k.

For their snazzy performance video - with the power turns and all - they had to disable the stability control... something that you can't do.

Still - knees are in the breeze, it looks fun to me.

Did you notice how they only showed it in a turn for about 3 seconds during that whole video?

I'd suspect that blowing a tire on a corner is probably even more dangerous on two wheels.

I've seen used (2003-2004) T-Rexs going for around $25k on eBay..
