Default highway pegs on a 900 custom?

Anyone running them? Do you like them? Are they in the way? Does it look stupid?

A buddy of mine has the kury's on his 900c. Personally I don't like them, but I'm not really used to his set-up. When they're flipped down, they get in my way of the shift and break pedals. Almost crashed once on his bike cause I couldn't get the brake pedal, kept hitting the peg.

I run Highway bars on my custom. They do help but im 6'3" and I wish they where alittle further out for my size. I may try to mod them this winter.

Very cool bike Big D. What have you done to the chrome parts? Is that paint or powder coat or what...?

I've got them on my highway bars. They let me stretch out, very comfortable. I don't have any pics but I can take some tomorrow if you want to see how it looks.

The chrome is painted with rattle can and cleared with HOK and a gun. Holds up to the weather better.

Mc Enteprise makes the Highway bars got them at Phat Performance.

Yes those are fork gaiters same as on mx bikes.

I'm only 5'10" so when I need to streach out I just rest the back of my foot on the stock pegs. I would think it would be uncomfortable to have my legs up that high.

I hope not, I ordered the pegs that fit onto the floorboards from Kury, I like to stretch when on a cruise. Somehow, with just the floorboards, I'm hugging the tank a bit too much. I am 6ft 2in.

Hey. First of all, you're bike looks amazing. You can't go wrong with a dark theme. As for your question, the engine plates were taken apart and painted individually. It cost me but was worth it i think. I'm thinking of rims now but all i can find is RC rims which are quite expensive !! Any recommendations ?

what do mean by the engine plates were taken apart? you removed the engine from the bike?
And for rims you could always just get a matching rear wheel and pulley like I did......check out MeanCycles - Motorcycle Accessories, Apparel, Helmets & Tires

Hey Robb. Yeah the engine was removed from the bike but i'm sure a good artist can manage without doing so.
