Back to the topic.....I must be one of the few that like the Fury. I actually wanted one, till I saw it. It is a nice bike, it just seems a little small for me.
Was anyone seen any Furys that have been customized?

I do like the Fury I think it is a sweet looking bike. I am also one of those that wants a V-Twin cruiser that has some real power and speed. I admit I like getting on a long straight hiway and scary fast. The Raider S and the Stratoliner Deluxe look like the have that potential.

IMO, Kawa does need a bigger custom and/or chopper style bike.
I sat on a meanstreak & thought it was too "Suzuki" being so sport and with the long reach. They need something more like a Fury/Raider/Vegas for us on 900C's to move up to. |

I have to say I kinda like the Fury.
Its not something I would go buy, at least not now. But maybe in 20 years when I am old, I bet it would be a fun bike to ride to get parts at th local hardware store, or to go meet pals for a coffee on. I am to into riding quickly on twisty roads, and exploring back roads, or loading a bike with camping gear and taking off on long rides to want one now.....but never say never.

Ok, so I stopped by the shop Friday night to pick up some oil for Connie and made it a point to check out the Fury. My one-word description of it.....CRAP! plastic chrome, and an anticeptic look typical of Hondas. Looking at it in person, it just doesn't have any "motorcycle character" to me. Everything is smooth and blocked looking (typical Honda design), and there's not any little "things" that catch your attention.
On top of that, I still stand by my question...what makes this bike cost so much? I predict honda will NOT sell many of these things.

is that the Raider you mentioned? What manufacturer? Is it called Raider here in Europe as well? Never seen or heard of it before, I must admit...

It's a Yamaha. I like it as well. Only thing I'd change is the rear fender. Not sure if it's called a Raider in Europe or not.

Looks like the "star" section is the US section..? At least the Raider apparently isn't included in the Yamaha Europe... Yamaha Cruiser Motorcycles - XV1900A Midnight Star, XVS1300A Midnight Star, XVS650A DragStar Classic Maybe that explains why I hadn't heard of it... Anyway, me likes. Wouldn't trade in my Vulcan though...

It's not really the engine type (VTwin vs. I4) so much as what that engine is designed for. My V-Star 650 has a fair amount of torque, but about the same HP as my Ninja 250. That being said there are a couple of factory race teams in the SBK that are using VTwins in their race bikes.

15000 euros is more like $22000-23000 which is in a different class all together. makes me think $7000 for a vn900 classic is not to bad |

I also don't care too mcuh for the look and feel of the Fury, but that's just my 0.25cents worth. If someone else finds it appealing then all the power to them...the more bikes I see out there on the road, the better.
If I was in the market for custom styled, stretched out cruiser, I'd find it hard not to pick a Victory myself.

How tall are you Green? I'm only 5'7" and I think the reach for the forward controls would be difficult on a meanie for me.
