'09 V-900 Classis LT Tire Tube Info.

I'm considering a swap out of the Dunlop stocks to the Pirelli MT66's front/rear simply to get rid of the Dunlop grab on most every imperfection on roads/bridges. I've adjust my preload up by 1 trying to force a little more weight forward on the front. Has helped a little. The stocks are brand new but as I did with my sportbikes (Pirelli upgrades) from stock the difference is always much better in the handling.
However, can I use the current Dunlop tubes in the new Pirelli's or do I need to have a new tube inserted in both. Is the Dunop tube a better performer than others. I've read that it is a more puncture resistant (hard to believe) tube than its competitors. Any info you guys have on the tire tubes would be really helpful.

How many miles on the tubes? I mean yes you can reuse them, but seems the rule of thumb is change tires/change tubes. I do with tire change outs. I just ordered the OEM tubes for mine.

My humble opnion if something gets thru the tire its getting thru the tube too.

I run the mt66 on my bike with the factory tube

my rule of thumb is reuse the tube 1 time, next time you need tires its best to toss out the tube and replace them.

as for puncture resistant, anything thats going thru the tire is going thru the tube.

Alright u two.... I've got 300 mi on the tubes. The weather down here has been less than pleasant in the last few months so I've just gotten out every other weekend for a bit. My work sched is 7 on / 7 off... so it limits my time and I have yet to get the parking pass for this cruiser. Have it for my car and sportbike... but that is it. Tubes have 300 mi. = probably go ahead and just replace the tires.... I concur with u both..

I agree with the reuse one time then change out. 10-4 on the if it get thru the tire it can continue thru whatever else. I have used my Dulap tubes in Pierrli. I currently have another Pierrli ready to install with a new tube, but for the life of me without going out in the garage and looking I dont know what kind it is. Bikemaster maybe?
