Default Replacement rear turn signals for 1500

I need to replace my rear turn signals (the left one is completely broken off). Instead of just replacing the stock signal, I'd like to put some cool new aftermarket turn signals on the bike. But I've been searching the web and can't really find anything that seems to work for my bike. I like the Kuryakyn bullets, but I don't see how they mount with the stock turn signal assembly. I'm kind of stymied. Does anyone have any ideas for me? Thanks in advance!

The bullet lights (whatever brand you get, pro-one, kuryakyn, show chrome) will mount through the holes in your fender struts. It would mean you'd compeltely remove the stock turn signal assembly, however, and I'm not sure how that would look on a classic. It looks great on a mean streak, but never seen it done on a classic but I would assume you certainly could.

This pic is of a vtx but it's the same jist.

Thanks, SleekStreak. I saw the picture on the VTX, too. I really like that Kurykayn tail light assembly on the VTX with the bullet lights. But I can't see any way to use them on a 1500. I really hate to put the stock signals back on. They were always flimsy, and I never liked them.

The reason there somewhat flimsy is so if you lightly drop the bike or bump the housing ,they have some give to them. But when you drop the bike hard just to get the stud in the truck behind you to stop an help pick it up (women) then they won't hold up to that kind of punishment.

Kenny, you saved the day! Since I can't seem to find anything that will work, I guess I'd better just put the stock stuff back on. Boy, my husband is going to LOVE you. He doesn't like to see me spending more money on my bike.

Do you have my address? You're a lifesaver!!!!

    Julie,

Order parts & mods for your 1500, tell Alan you ordered stuff for the FJR then when classic stuff arrives on the big brown truck...say gosh honey, they messed up again. I guess I better go try to get you that __________ again...

a sure way to fix up your bike all the while trying to garner brownie points.

    Talking Hey Julie

Look at the Kuryakin deep dish bezels to add some flair to your stock turns. The turns will still be stock, but they'll look cool for thirty sumptin dollars

Heck- you can get bezels for front and back for what you would have paid for a set of aftermarket turns and you'd have a nice custom look.

I said it works for bike mods and the camp trailer was her idea too, tho we've been looking for a few years. now the hot tub has been and is my idea. I just need to figure where to put it.

Wait until she gets her own bike! Then I bet Juanita won't be so generous with the money for mods on YOUR bike. hee hee

well theres the rub except that I'm the knowledgeble one and it'd be me making the orders for mods and wouldn't it be a shame if by some oversight, i accidently ordered parts for my dear robin too.....

    hate it when that happens

Ok Jukie, the turnsignal assembly is on its way! Like i said, its off my friends 03 classic and its the whole deal, bulbs, orange lens, all on the chrome part that mounts to the rear fender!! My friend (Lord bless him) cut off the rear fender right behind the passenger seat. Then mounted tail light/license plate on rear axle. He has'nt mounted any turn signals,so now he gives hand signals when he makes a turn! But you talk about some'em ugly!!! Please, nobody on here ever, ever cut off the fender right behind the passenger seat!!! Not if its a vulcan classic! Anyway Jukie, back to you. Thank you again for shipping me the risers when i needed help, therefore i hope I'm helping you in return! Go back up about 9 postings and read about the kuryakin deal thay phatboy talks about. they would look good on this mount i'm sending ya!!! But don't cut your fender off behind your seat!!!!!! God,my friends bike is uuuuugggggglly!
