Yes,you are right, only if you use HD pilot jet you needed the HD emulsion tube because the thread pitch of the HD jet is different than the Kawasaki jet, so the HD jet wouldn't fit in the Kawasaki emulsion tube. There's no need to change the needle holder.the needle comes in the Kuryakn kit ,

i rejet a few weeks back using kuryakyn kit.the 165 main jet does fit the kawasaki emulsion tube.the neddle from dyno and kuryakyn are exactly the same.
go to harley and ask for slow jet part number 27302-84 and you are set.like goddardrrr say it is well worth.

Re: Best Intake Vulcan 800, Dragtron

I have a 1995 800a and I am grampsizing. I got the kit from kuryakyn with 165 main jet and needle. I found a place to get the Slow jet GENUINE Keihin slow jet size 50 (SKU- N424-25B )From Jets R Us LLC
Jets R Us KAWASAKI VN800 VULCAN

I still need to get a K & N filter for when I finish moding the filter box any good recommendations? Or what is the Dragtron? I have seen the Dragtron 2 but is there a fit for the 800 or is it a universal filter box? Thanks for all the posts they helped me out a lot. And Wolf was a big help.

I have a dragtron II on my bike I bought from Sherms Cycle Products back in 2007 . I couldn't find them recently, it came with the mounting bracket for the 800. There must be someone else selling them, Wolf probably knows. The dragtron has
Worked great but is expensive

Ok I am finishing my Grampsizing of my 95 800A (CA Model) and the removal of EPA equip. is a little hard to follow. I think I am to put a nipple on the black plastic connecter on the carb going to the evap system but it does not say for sure. I think I have all the rest worked out.
