I considered riding my bike today, but the rain is supposed to be moving in, so I chose against it. I was hoping tomorrow would be pretty because I wanted to go for a 3 hour ride or so.

Took another short ride today. It won't help me to rack up the miles but it does help me mentally. Today the weather was picture perfect for a ride. Too bad the pollen had to be around. Throat and eyes are killing me but it was well worth it.

I rode yesterday, never got hit by a single drop of rain. If you leave the bike at home every day there's a chance of rain you might as well sell the bike. Get some rain gear and get down the road. Really, this is NC- there's a chance of rain every day until Halloween. If yer gonna ride yer gonna get wet, so get on with it.
Words aren't children and there's nothing wrong with killing them to clarify a point or keep the peace.
I know, I know. But there have been times where they called for rain at 8pm. . so I rode. And at 4pm I was riding home in thunderous downpour. Not my idea of a way to end the day. Besides, with my backpack being full of school books and electronics, I tend to only expose them to wetness as little as possible. Again, excuses, but also personal preference. Today would have been a nice day to ride too. Little chilly out, but not terrible.![]()

We are expecting rain today...didnt even realize until I got to work today. Not that it matters. I ride my bike unless the wind is strong enough to blow it over on the kickstand(or I have to pick up my deviled girlfriend <.< her dad doesnt like my bike...) Wish I ahd rain gear too...but anywhere in town...farthest distance I could possibly drive would be like 10 miles...from one edge of town to my house

Speaking of rain and raingear, has anyone given the Frogg Toggs Hogg Toggs a whirl? It's suppose to breath really well and be fairly good in keeping you dry. I have the Walmart special rainsuit but have been thinking about upgrading. Does anyone have the cats meow of raingear? My Gerbing's heated gear is great for keeping me dry but it is overkill when it comes to riding in the rain during the summer.
