Default 900 Vulcan Classic!

Well it seems Kawasaki has made the perfect mid weight cruiser, 903cc's. fuel injected, belt drive for efficient and no hassle power transfer. Nice way to upgrade the 800 Classic.

it is a nice upgrade but there are plenty who will miss the a model, the 900 is in a classic chassi only.

That's right the A model seemed very popular, They also only offer the Drifter as the 800 which is odd also, the 800 A seemed way more popular than the Drifter? Maybe an A update is on it's way?.
Did anyone even hear they were changing the 800's?

It is odd everything they changed on the new 900 are all the things I would change about my 800, floorboards, fuel injection, and either a belt or shaft drive. It is almost like they read my mind, though right now those things are standard on most bigger bikes. And Suzuki's M50 has all those. What a package, for 7200 bucks.

The 900 also has a pretty wide rear tire for a small cruiser 180/70-15

Could have been a winner if it had self adjusting valves, which it does not. Also does not have an easy way to adjust the rear shock. I think they will be disappointed in the sales of the 900. Might be better if they come out with a 900A model. The fat bottom girl is not going to cut it.

Yeah that would have been nice about the valves and the shock setup, but I got to say I think it will sell well, it is only about 750 more than a 05 800 Classic. But some nice upgrades, I am sure they did more than just FI, floorboards and belt drive and the 903cc motor. But that in it self is a nice first step. all bikes should have self adjusting valves.

Rear disc brake also. Man the more i look at it the more I might have to trade my 800 in on it.

The valves practically guarantee 95% of all the bikes will be back in the shop again and again and again...... (at nearly $200/each).I'll bet you dollars to deutschmarks that the self-adjusting 750-style valves were left-off at behest of the dealerships.
