Since the weather did not co-operate today and remained foggy and cold I took time to do the shaft maintenance on the wifes 750. I already did the work on my 750 but didn't take any pics and I know how much we all enjoy pics.
Also this will give you an opportunity to see the motorcycle lift I bought recently from Harbor Freight. That thing is a back saver! Get the bike up to level and sit in a chair as you roll around the lift from side to side always comfortable and tools at your reach. I remember days when I got down on the floor to do the same work and at the end of the day I'd be so stoved up I didn't want to ride. Pic 1 showing the bike on the lift ready to jack it up. ![]() Pic 2 showing it jacked up ![]() Pic 3 showing removal of the left side heat shield ![]() Pic 4 showing removal of the left side muffler ![]() Pic 5 showing the removal of the left side shock ![]() Pic 6 showing the removal of the right side heat shield ![]() Pic 7 showing the removal of the right side muffler ![]() ***Continued*** |

Anything to get a motorcycle up off the floor is a huge help! I've spent enough time crawling under cars n trucks and bikesin the dirt/gravel/concrete so the lift was something I wanted for a long time. Getting older now so need more comforts. LOL |

i caught that one pic of sea foam. but noticed there were many pics where WD-40 is clearly pictured. kinda looks like it was intentionally placed that way.......hmmmmm

Actually...it was sitting just off view of the camera. I used the WD-40 on a rag to remove some grease near the rear wheel hub. Gotta use it for something! |
