Replacing Output Shaft from 09 Vulcan 900B

Is it worth it to pay $2k to replace the output shaft on a 2009 Vulcan 900 Classic with 23k miles in it?

hahaha! wsim... thanks for the advise. i actually had a dilemma whether to sell it broken like that and get a new bike, but $2k is lesser than getting a new one. an added plus is that i really love my 09 vulcan classic. it sort of more me being sentimental of the bike and personal just the notion of selling it. i took it in to get it repaired and that's how much they estimated it for me to get it repaired. that was two weeks ago and i am dying to ride my bike again.

When my output shaft bearing failed the dealer told me it would cost about $1700 to replace. It failed at 22k however I had the extended warranty that covered it 100%. I now have 40k and the only other trouble I have had is a stator that went out at 38k.
