Rear Jug, ticking valve.

As the title explains, I've got issues. I've got a 2000 Kaw Vulcan VN1500 FI with 82k. I'm completely aware I have to pull the engine to get to the rear jug.

My question(s) is/are, what engine mods are at my disposal to put additional pep back in this bike. I have removed all the Cali emissions from the bike. After-market exhaust. After-market fuel modulator. Custom air-intake. What have I got left?

Also, anything I should be aware of when I crack this jug to fix the issue?

Thanks

1. Best way for more power is to dial in what you have. Dyno tune is the answer.
2. If you replace HLA(s) , use Sealed Power HT2254. Much cheaper than OEM. Summit Racing seems to be about the cheapest.
3. Be SURE and replace HLA filters. Kawasaki # 14043-1056
