I have seen and heard Okies bike (believe me you hear it). It is pretty damn sweet. Without his help I would not be riding. He sold me his old Ltd 1000 to learn on, I believe it was an 80 or 81, he would know. I am going to have him make me a sissy bar like the one he made for his drifter. Lets hear it for Okie!

Talking 800 Drifter Seat

I have a 2005 Vulcan 800 Drifter and would like to know if anyone would like to trade their Dual Saddle for the Solo Saddle?

i wonder if the 2005 800 solo seat would fit a 99 1500.

well, i got some new shoes for my bike back in dec. and finally got around to attempt to put them on. after 3 days of work and $60 later i got the front one done. im gona make an appt. for an oil change/tune up in the next few weeks and have the back one put on. what a pain. i also took the saddle bags off and man does it look sweet.

Sorry to post twice...

But has anybody on here with a drifter removed their stock baffles... I want some extra sound but I dont want to splurge for a new exhaust. Not yet anyway. If they did is there a how to on here anywhere... simple instructions?
Just wanna read up on it before ripping my pipe apart

thanks, Ken

well, i have the stock exhaust sitting in my garage. i can take a look and see how they come out. i have the Sampson Slasher pipes on right now but they are a 2 piece pipe and the back half is starting to turn gold. i really dont like the look any way so i might just put some HK or V&H pipes on it.

Thanks everybody for the nice comments sorry I haven't gotten back sooner. I don't about the seat I think it might be a Cobra? It was on it when I got her. I like it alot because it is different. She makes more noise with the thunder air kit. It was so nice here on Friday 50° I thought for sure that Saturday I would make a run so I went home put the battery on the charger got the air cleaner just fresh recharged on and went to bed early well Saturday and Sunday rained all day......

yea, i got to ride this weekend too. went out with a guy on his chopper and another guy with a custom harley. we got alot of looks goin thru town. got a "Hey, Sweet Indian" comment at the harley stealership. i forgot to check those pipes out tho. if i can remember and if i have time, i'll look at em tonight about the baffles. my bike is ready to be picked up at the shop right now. took it in for a spring tune up and to have my rear tire mounted and my header mounts re-finished (if they could do it) leaving to pick it up very shortly.

Default Homebrew Sissybar/Luggage rack

Here's my winter project on my Drifter. About $60 in materials ($40 of that was for the backrest pad) and a couple of weekends of work. I couldn't see spending $250 + for a sissybar when I had the welder and the skills to make my own.
Getting ready for the ride up to Sturgis this summer.

Thanks. Who makes the seat? It was on the bike when I bought it and I've never looked it over to see who it was by. I love it.

Hmmm.... I thought it has a slightly different shape than the 2-up seats I've seen on stock drifters. very interesting.
