    Thumbs up Nice

Nice pics but I dont see any Drifters in the Pics. The next time I get out to Cali. I will look you up so we can take a cruise to Santa Monica Pier or someplace like that and get some lunch. Or maybe cruise to malibu to Neptunes Net for some shrimp.

Thanks for responding. The drifter is tough to see. It is the bike on the left. It is blocked by the dude standing right in the middle of the pic. It belongs to the guy with the goatee and skull cap. You have to look me up in Los Angeles.

Talking Patches we don't need no stinkin patches.

Just joking you can get the original patches on the VROC.org web site from Pipers he makes the big original logo patches. I am checking with someone to see what the cost of my logo to patch will be and I'll let you know.

GODesigns, mind if I aske you how much you paid for the new Drifter? I'm in the market here in NYC and I was wondering what I can get it for. I don't know anyone else who's got a '06 Drifter except you.

    Smile Cost of New Drifter

I don't know about GODesigns but I paid in July 05 $11,280 for mine but what came includid with the bike was: 4year extended warranty and 3yrs of complete service a Helmet and Cobra Slash Cut Exhaust. If you take off the complete service and the 4yr extended warranty and the pipes I paid about $8,600 after Tax, Lic, Doc and Dealer Fees.

The guy in my area is willing to let me have the bike for $7700. That's with the standard warranty and no modifications. What do you think?

The heat gun didn't soften the paint up at all? that's what I'd be worried about

I used the hair dryer. Some folks have used the gun, but I am sure they were quite careful with it.

Motorcycle Blue Book says the retail value of a 2006 brand new no milage is $7014 Trade in value is $5260. I would only offer him about $6200 to $6500 this is the middle ground.

    Default Spring is Declared

This morning I got up at 4:00 am and installed the battery, air cleaner and seat. It was 29° and I rode 1 mile to my sister in laws house to keep the Drifter there.
She fired up on the first attempt no problem but she did want time to warm up can't blame her for that..
Why? well I live on a dirt road that when it is above freezing these days the road is like a swamp and in the early morning it is hard enough to get out the road.
Tomorrow it is predicited to be high 50's low 60's that means a ride to the local Kawasaki shop to pick the parts I have ordered. Last weekend I installed the new highway bars and I have the fever now...

yea, i rode about 150 miles yesterday to woodstock(virginia) and back. all interstate. got it washed and detailed last night. got it up on the lift and i couldnt believe the ammount of brake dust on my rear wheel. i had to scrub it to get it off.but its all nice and shiny now. the people who had the bike before me(i think im the 4th owner) didnt take very good care of the bike. everytime i clean it, i always find more rust spots. the pipe mounts were all rusted and corroted so i had the guys at the shop strip them and paint them black to match while they did the fuel line work(recall). it looks great. the pipes are starting to rust in a few places as well. i found bubbles on the handle bars last night and used some cleaning polish which seemed to help, but its still visible. might just end up repainting everything.
