hi guys i just got a 800 drifter year 2000 and want to buy a nice wiindshield easy to put on and not too tall and not too short either can someone help me out?

yea, its black. i dumped about half a can of sea foam in it yesterday and started it up and let it run for a while. if it wasnt so nasty outside id take it and put some fresh gas in it. and i have the stock intake setup.

if you got the stock intake make sure your air filter is clean - weird how it got so rich.. something dont seem right

if you put sea foam in, the best way to get it all through there is to run it and rev the engine... i dont know if you just let it sit and idle for a long time but that is prolly one of the worst things for these motors... in my opinion

i seen several big pics with it but noway to contact them.

nobody likes a multi poster... go do some research and ask local dealerships its custom i tell you... why not find out who is hosting those pics and ask them

I've seen my gas mileage decline rather steadily over the last while. I have not had a chance to pick up my manual yet. I'm curious to know if there is a way to adjust the air/fuel on a 1500 injected version. She smells like she's burning quite rich...

Any suggestions?

Joejoe, these people sell just what you're looking for, a sprung saddle that simply bolts straight on to the 800 Drifter.

jonsey wales thanx bud it's not that one but its a good chioce too. i found out that that one i posted the pic. of is original from kawasaki its an accessory for the drifter but cant find it anyway. if you want to look up you'll have to try beartoothkawasaki they sould have it . but the dont deliver out of us/canada.

let me know if you find that one anyway.

Joejoe all I can see on the Kawasaki sight you mentioned is a solo saddle for the Drifter, without springs.
I didn't know that Kawasaki made an accessory sprung seat.

The seat in the link I gave you can have different saddles made to go on the mount, depending on your choice. The company CAE only actually makes the sprung frame, then they get 'Heathers leathers', I believe, to make the saddle itself. I would have thought you could get very close to what you want by sending them the picture.

Another route would be to look at the choices available from somewhere like Custom Chrome or Zodiac and modify them to fit the kawasaki eg

2008 iCatalog - pages 1.26 & 1.27.

Search a few of the pages around the link.

Best bet, IMHO, is to get the 'Cycle Art Engineering' base then add the saddle of your choice.
